The Carteck GSW 40 range of sectional garage doors offers tremendous strength and insulation in any of the many designs on offer. Because of the panel strength it is possible to order the door up to 8000mm wide making it ideal for the extra wide garage opening.
Any sectional garage door over about 6 metres wide will require uprated operating gear, including the spring tension system but they also require uprated electric motors and this is all taken care of with the Carteck super size range making ordering simple and safe. The uprated motor drive is derived from the industrial door system and makes easy work of the wider doors. Safety is all taken care of with the standard specification being right up to scratch with all the latest CE requirements.
The same fantastic choice of panel designs and optional colour finishes is all available in the super size range along with all the window options too.
It is from the inside that the Super-Size doors differ. The weight of a complete door at these sizes is considerable and safe operation is paramount. Consequently these doors have up-rated fittings for all
load bearing elements and the lifting mechanism is motor driven with torsion spring assistance. A monitored safety edge ensures the door stops and reverses should it encounter an obstruction.

With a door of 6 metres or wider you will have to expect greater requirments for headroom and side room and this is around 400mm of headroom internally for a standard door with 110mm required each side for the tracking mechanism. Low headroom options are available for lower garage ceilings.
