The Garage Door Centre was started in 1986 by Brian and Nathan Dove.

Since then the company has enjoyed continuous expansion and now employs over 50 staff with four showrooms and sales offices displaying a total of over 130 working and static garage doors and a dedicated installation and distribution warehouse for UK coverage

COVERING THE COUNTRY
Originally started as Northants Garage Doors the name soon had to change as expansion took over.
The Head Office and Main Showroom and the Installation depot are based at Northamptonshire, with further showrooms and sales offices situated at Warwickshire, Bedfordshire and Birmingham.

Specialist staff includes technical advisors, site surveyors, sales consultants and teams of highly trained installation engineers.
A special projects division undertake all non-standard applications ensuring the correct products are selected to suit individual requirements.

Installations are controlled from the dedicated unit based in Northamptonshire where the engineers receive specialist training to ensure the optimum fit is always attained.

A full range of accessories including operators, a wide selection of hand held control units, alternative access control systems, weather protection strips together with an extensive range of spare parts are held in stock. With garage door systems constantly being improved, Managing Director Nathan Dove believes people need to do more than just replace old doors with exactly the same style. As he states:

As well as inviting customers to visit the showrooms, we will conduct a survey of their garage to ensure that the door selected will fit the opening and be appropriate for their needs. It is surprising how often we have had to change doors for people who have bought from a non- specialised company only to find that the opening is no longer wide enough or high enough to accommodate their car.
