 The Markilux Skylife patio awning gives you two awnings in one: You either use it in the classical awning form – or you can transform it into a gable fronted awning for maximum effective wet weather use.
The very special feature about the Markilux Skylife is the unique patented joint in the centre of the front carry bar that is used to put this Markilux in place. Three simple movements and the Skylife is adjusted to cope with the rainwater.
Once the gable feature is set up it provides better protection from the sun’s rays from the side or the obvious best use in the U.K. is enabling rain water to run off reliably so that you can use your favourite place on the terrace even when it is raining. Additionally, the centre of the Skylife when set up has a larger walk under height. This feature is particularly useful on bungalows where the wall height is quite often restricted and therefore an awning quite often cannot have a very steep pitch angle from the wall it attaches to.

The solid joint mechanism in the centre of the awning front profile is simply pushed upwards until the locking device clicks into place: This creates a type of ridge from which both of the side wings lower down in a gentle curve.
