The Hormann LPU 40 L-Panel Woodgrain sectional garage door certainly shouts a huge message. Large is definitely beautiful in this case – sweeping long Georgian profiles just 2 across in a single door, rising to 4 on double door. And with glazing panels fitted the effect is even more dramatic. Not only is this door impressive to look at, it possesses a host of beneficial characteristics: safety features including tracks designed to eradicate any chance of the door derailing, finger trap protection on both the inside and outside of the panels and long the hinges, side frames that are totally closed top to bottom leaving no gaps for fingers to get crushed; weather protection such as the plastic frame shoe alleviating problems such as rust, caused by water logging, weather resistant seals fitted to all four sides of the door and between the seals and so the list goes on. All signs of excellence and quality.

The panels have a 42mm thick filling of 100% CFC-free rigid PU foam, providing immense insulation especially if the garage open is square and a seal can be formed. Very convenient for using the garage as a further room and certainly effective for preventing temperature loss very advantageous if the garage is integral or has an opening straight into the house.

The Hormann LPU 40 L-Panel Woodgrain sectional garage door is produced in an attractive textured embossed finish and the panels are coated in a high quality polyester primer. 16 factory colours to choose from including the standard Traffic white and a further 200 or so RAL colours extend the options.

Surface Finishes
The Hormann L Panelled sectional garage door is available in three different surface finishes - an authentic sawn timber look in Woodgrain, a silky-smoot elegant finish in Silkgrain & an embossed smooth steel surface pattern in Micrograin.

Colour Finishes
Hormann steel sectional doors are finished as standard in white polyester paint (RAL 9016) - a finish which if you wish can be lightly rubbed down and painted. Most people don't bother to do this as Hormann offer a comprehensive factory finished RAL colour range as an optional finish to the exterior - over 400 RAL colours to choose from!

A limited range of RAL colours are also available at special prices with faster delivery times from Hormann - 16 colours to choose. The door panels also have subtle differences in that all of the door designs are either a woodgrain or silkgrain finish, woodgrain being as it describes - with a robust, woodgrain structured surface and silkgrain a smooth elegant surface with extra reinforcement in the exterior face of this option.

Handles
The Hormann LPU 40 is manufactured with no pre-drilled handle hole as standard. This is to offer a smooth door finish on doors with electric operation which do not require a handle. If a handle is required, a selection of handles are available from the selection below at a surcharge.

Suitable Operators
Both the Hormann Promatic and the Hormann Supramatic are the perfect remote controlled operators for the Hormann LPU 40. They both come supplied with an integral receiver, automatic locking, automatic safety cut-out, emergency release from inside, and a soft start/soft stop function to minimise door wear and tear.

Hormann electric garage door operators are supplied with a HSM 4 and HSE 2 transmitter as standard when purchased. Other remote transmitters and access control systems are available from the selection shown below and other controls are available to link in with Homelink systems and also vehicle transmitter systems.
