Every aluminium roller garage door we offer is made to measure to the millimetre and either fits behind, in-between of in front of the brickwork opening. The Vortex is not suitable for an External fit but that is an exceptional door position anyway. Most roller garage doors will be fitted to the inside face of the brickwork to maximise the garage opening and neatly hide all the guides and other working parts from the outside.
For an internal face fit or inbetween fit with this Vortex roller door you will only require 165mm for the curtain roll, hood cover and endplates. This headroom requirement puts it in a competitive position against a sectional overhead door. Its overall performance is also exceptional.
This door will have an internal emergency manual override system as standard for operation in the event of a power failure.
Price
Expect to pay between £4,500 and £5,000 inc. VAT installed for a one off installation with a great choice of pre finished colours but also with options for other RAL colours.
This includes all electric motor drive and controls and some very cool handsets and wall mounted control panel with backlit screen and touch controls.
Additional work such as Extra trimming around the door frame, weather seals on the floor and any other access control options will change the price slightly. Of course you can also have this roller door right up to 6000mm wide if required and this will be an additional cost.
This particular roller door is definitely an exception against other roller garage doors generally as it does not even look the same as the rest with the patented slat size differences and unique extruded slat design. This is an exceptional product by any standards.
The standard double width size is generally between about 4.2m and 4.6m on a standard UK size double width garage. These doors are made to measure as standard on the width and the height with a standard height being around 2.2m in the UK.

For this price example we are using one of the standard 7 solid colour options available.
There are options to match specific special colour ranges and also a wider range of Renolit laminate foil finishes. You certainly will find a colour to work within the range offered on our aluminium roller doors.
Security
This is one of the biggest misunderstood areas for a roller garage door as in effect all roller doors simply act like a drawbridge and open and close using gravity.
Most of the aluminium roller doors we offer have a locking system built onto the barrel which lifts the curtain and a system will hold the curtain closed against attempted force.
The Seceuroglide Classic and Excel both use a patented steel tooth system for holding the curtain firmly in place and the Excel version has a certification to prove its worthiness.
Ease of Use
With the standard electric operator option all you have to do is press a button either on one of the 2 hand transmitters supplied or the wall mounted control station which sits inside your garage with a built in courtesy light also built in.
If there is a power cut then you have to enter the garage by another door and release the motor drive to operate the door manually which will be quite effortless. If there is no other access then there is a release mechanism which is attached to the handle or drilled into the panel as a key release mechanism with cable attachment.

This is definitely one of the exceptions to general discussions on electric roller garage doors.
It is an electric security roller garage door we are more than happy to recommend on double width garage door sizes and a bit wider too.
So often on double width or larger garages particularly with a flat roof or a room above there is limited headroom and this alone is a reason to consider this door for the benefits of maximising drive through height. Everything else is a great bonus on top.
The unique and patented design and exceptional performance in the key areas of security, wind resistance and small headroom requirements place it firmly as a great option for any garage.
If you want real certified security, storm proof ratings, maximum clearance on the height and high quality paint and slat finish along with effortless operation and control with safety and compliance then this is a roller door to definitely shortlist.
High quality always comes at a price, but this is value for money by any comparison for a door on a double width garage offering the performance it does as standard. A standard not attainable by most other garage doors.
