A lightweight curtain, yet high quality, electric operated, doube skinned aluminium roller garage door, perfect for simple electric button operation when remote controls are not required. 

The 55mm double skinned, insulated aluminium slats create a compact roller garage door, perfectly designed for single width openings and also when headroom is limited.
Whilst this isn't a roller garage door you would buy for security, it is a very compact and reliable with a multitude of controls other than the simple button or key switch control. Remote or smart control is perfectly possible with this door model.

The 240v single phase internal tube motor operates the door via a wall mounted, hard wired puch button, using basic 'up' and 'down' buttons which need to be pressed for the duration of the opening/closing. Because of this 'hold to run' system, the door does not require any safety edge sensors to be fully safety compliant for a busy home. If you are using your garage for anythign but putting your vehicle in then this might well be the door for you? if you access your garage on foot every time then why would you need a remote control handset at all?
Hard wired button or key switch control is binary, reliable and secure. 

The curtain is available in 18 standard finsihed colours and is a made to measure as standard door in sizes up to 3000mm width and 2150mm height, covering over 90% of single garage apertures in the UK.

The AlluGuard 55 is constructed from high quality 55mm deep double skinned aluminium slats with a foam filled core. It is a made to measure, 240V, tube motor operated, electric roller garage door, manufactured to the exact millimetre in width and height.

The door is electrically operated as standard and incorporates an internal emergency manual release in case of a power failure. This is a winding process using a winding handle provided attaching via a hook to the eye of the motor drive. This can be specified as either on the left or right as viewed from inside the garage (same side as motor).

A wall mounted hard wired control panel has an impulse push button for opening the door, with a stop button to stop it at any point. For closing the door, the down button is pushed and held until the door closes fully.

The Genesis wall mounted control system dimensions are 140mm h x 120mm w x 50mm d.

The curtain of this door rolls around a steel barrel which is supported either side by steel endplates which have a dimension of 205mm x 205mm, which is the headroom required if you wish to hide the roll. Always allow for a maximum 50mm of curtain ‘hang down’ when the door is opened if the opening height is critical to you. This is the same on all roller garage doors.

The guide height as used for ordering does not included the endplate size above it and the loss of drive through height with the bottom slat hang down when open.

Door guides either side are 60mm wide and 34mm deep and the door is ordered using the ‘OVERGUIDE’ width from the curtain and guides combined.  These newly updated guides feature brush seals making the door quieter and improve the seal against the weather.

The door can be fitted BEHIND or INBETWEEN the structural opening as required but always check you have order the correct dimensions to take into account the guides and endplates (full hood cover if ordered is the same dimensions).
