The superb Hormann ThermoPro front entrance door range has just been elevated even further by gaining the 'Secured by Design' accreditation
Secured by Design is the initiative from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) aiming to reduce crime through effective environmental design. The scheme also calls for the installation of security products that meet police approved standards. Manufacturers and installers whose products have been certified by an accredited testing body to the specified standards can apply for SBD membership and licence to utilise the schemes logo. Gaining accreditation is a significant achievement demonstrating a commitment to safety and sustainability whilst providing customers using the products with reassurance that they have a level of performance with tested and approved results.
This accreditation now applies to the TPS010, TPS015, TPS030, TPS040, TPS100, TPS200, TPS700, TPS800 and TPS900. Very few changes were required to the already very high specification of the ThermoPro doors. The main change is the use of 3 flag hinges for all SPD approved doors. TPS100 and TPS200 from the Classic range featuring lift lever operation will be supplied with the PAS24 drill resistant cylinder escutcheon and all doors will include a high security cylinder which is anti-pick, anti-bump, anti-drill and anti-snap. The cylinder is supplied with 3 security keys and a security card which is registered to allow other keys to be ordered.
The whole reassurance of this upgrade comes at an optional list price extra of just £90 plus VAT, a bargain for complete peace of mind.
