Q:How long is it from the survey to the installation date?
This depends totally on the door type chosen and the specification required.
Most of the garage doors sold now are purpose made in some way or other and this can affect the delivery time from the manufacturing plant. We do keep stock of many garage doors, usually white in colour as standard and the most popular styles and sizes and in these cases we can normally install the door in 7-10 days from survey and confirmation of price and specification.
If you require a different colour to white or a purpose made size the delivery time can go to 4- 6 weeks easily and with many of the higher specification garage doors we sell the manufacturing is in Germany and this can mean a delivery time of 6-8 weeks, however the doors are definitely worth the wait!
We plan our installation way ahead according to the delivery times and it is only in the busiest times that delivery dates tend to extend and this is usually from October through to December.
We try to give you an installation date as soon as we know the week the garage door is to be ready and can work around you for the best time in most cases.
So many garage doors now are purpose made in size and colour along with the handles, window options, electric operator accessories and other items that delivery cannot be that fast. The best things in life generally are worth waiting for!
