When you do not have the headroom in your garage but you want a garage door with exceptional security, durability and strength, then we offer the superb Vortex roller garage door. Whilst it is not an insulated roller garage door, it is a high performance, high specification garage door, even when judged against other door types.
With a 40-50% smaller size roll and hood cover than traditional roller garage doors, and a patented lath design to manage this small roll size, it offers incredible performance as a door. The box cover size is only 165mm x 165mm at any width.

Every aluminium roller garage door we offer is made to measure to the millimetre, and either fits behind, in-between or in front of the brickwork opening. The Vortex is not suitable for an External fit, but that is an exceptional position anyway. Most roller garage doors will be fitted to the inside face of the brickwork to maximise the garage opening and neatly hide all the guides and other working parts from the outside.
For an internal face fit or in between fit with this Vortex roller door, you will only require 165mm for the curtain roll, hood cover and endplates. This headroom requirement puts it in a competitive position against a sectional overhead door. Its overall performance is also exceptional.
Price
Expect to pay between £3,000 and £3,500 inc. VAT installed for a one off professional and warrantied installation for this roller door and complete with electric motor drive and all necessary controls and safety devices. Made to measure as standard.

EXTRAS: Enhancements such as additional trimming around the door frame, additional weather seals on the floor and any other control options will change the price slightly.
The single width size is generally between about 2.2m and 2.6m on a standard UK size double width garage. These doors are made to measure as standard on the width anad the height with a standard height being around 2.2m in the UK.
We have been selling roller shutter garage doors for well over 30 years now and if you definitely want a roller door then you are best to do some serious homework, because on the face of it they all look the same, but they really are not. This particular roller door is maybe an exception and it does not look the same as the rest with the patented slat size differences and unique extruded slat design. This is an exceptional product by any standards.

Security
This is one of the biggest misunderstood areas for a roller garage door as in effect all roller doors act like a drawbridge and open and close using gravity.
Most of the aluminium roller doors we offer have a locking system built onto the barrel which lifts the curtain and a system will hold the curtain closed against attempted force.
The Seceuroglide Classic and Excel both use a patented steel tooth system for holding the curtain firmly in place, and the Excel has a certification to prove its worthiness.
Ease of Use
With the standard electric operator option, you press a button either on one of the 2 hand transmitters supplied or the wall mounted control station, which sits inside your garage, with a built-in courtesy light also built in.
If there is a power cut then you have to enter the garage by another door and release the motor drive to operate the door manually, which will be quite effortless. If there is no other access then there is a release mechanism which is attached to the handle or drilled into the panel as a key release mechanism with cable attachment.

This is definitely one of the exceptions to general discussions on roller garage doors. The unique and patented design and exceptional performance in the key areas of security, wind resistance and small headroom requirements place it firmly as a great option for any garage where you place importance on what is kept inside.
If you want real certified security, storm proof ratings, maximum clearance on the height and high quality paint and slat finish, along with effortless operation and control with safety and compliance then this is definitely a roller door to shortlist in your research.
Higher quality always comes at a price, but this is value for money by any comparison.
Very few other garage door types can offer the specification and performance this door offers in terms of security and durability.
